Jorge Bergoglio, The First Jesuit Pope

The Catholic Church just elected, as Pope Francis I, Jorge Bergoglio of Argentina. As the first Jesuit pope (an order founded to fight the Reformation), his election is about as direct a repudiation of Protestantism and biblical theology as a papal election could possibly be. Sad.

Please pray for the Catholic Church and for a change of heart and theology in its leadership.
