RCAF Paint Schemes: Or, Why Canadians Give Up On Politics

The controversy over the new paint job on the Air Force’s VIP transport is hilarious:

Since nobody seems to have noticed, the color scheme is clearly inspired by the RCAF roundel prominently displayed on the fuselage and wings of the aircraft (which long predates the current government, and is based on the British RAF’s roundel). Or, I suppose the Chretien Liberal government was paying tribute to the Tories when they paid for a CF-18 to be decked out in blue back in 1999?
